MAGnificent Saturdays

Drop in family art making!

We supply the materials, the studio, and the instructions – you supply the imagination!

MAGnificent Saturdays is for people young and old, to engage in the creation of art. It offers families and individuals the chance to create a work of art that they may otherwise not get to do. The weekly art project goes beyond the realm of crafting that you can do at home, and introduces participants to projects they may be intimidated to try on their own or never would have thought of. This is a wonderful opportunity for learning, creating, and exploring new materials.

Projects are developed by our staff of Art Educators. Each of them has completed formal training in Fine Arts and are continuing to practice in some capacity on their own.

Valuing and participating in the arts are necessary for healthy brain development.

The creative process is fundamental to the development of problem solving, critical thinking, idea generation, perseverance and self-identity. Opportunities to engage in the creative process are not always easy to find.

MAGnificent Saturdays is a perfect place to create, explore, learn and play. This program is set in our wonderful Stewart Discovery Room where family and friends can get together to work on art projects with all the supplies they need, with no worries of making a mess at home.

Program runs from 1-4 pm every Saturday. Activities take approx. 20-45 minutes to complete.
