Marbled Tree Ornaments

Just in time for the holidays, we will be making ornaments using colourful wax!

In celebrating our 50th Anniversary, we’re revisiting some of our favourite MAGSaturday activities from the past. This is the 24th MAGSaturdays activity!

Dancing Trees

Using wire, a wooden base, and stretchy fabric, we’ll make abstract tree sculptures that look like they are dancing! Decorate them however you’d like with acrylic paint.

Today you will be using black markers and pencil crayons to create a drawing of a holiday tree!

Today you will get to use acrylic paint on black gessoed canvas to create art that is filled with poppies.

Everyone has a set of salt and pepper shakers. Many people collect them. The MAG has a collection of salt and pepper shakers on display right now! Today you will get draw then paint a set a shakers with acrylic paint on canvas.

Hats, Hats, and More Hats!

Here at the museum, we have a very large hat collection! Today we will be creating hats from paper and ribbon.

Circling Flowers

Using circles, mixed media, and repetition, we will be creating an abstract work of art!

Surrealist Glue Art

Using glue, watercolour, and markers we’ll be creating abstract masterpieces today!
