Although we frequently make an effort to use recycled materials here at the MAG, this month it will be a special focus in the art we create! Campers will learn how to make natural dyes using vegetables and fruits, make nature prints using leaves and mushrooms, and sculpt with all sorts of second-hand materials such as scrap wood and cardboard.

Children will create their own artwork. Supervised outdoor time is also included, as well as time to explore our galleries and Remarkable Red Deer. Please provide your own lunch & snacks, and bring appropriate outdoor clothing.

*Important Note: MAG Day Camps are peanut/nut free. Please ensure the snacks & lunch provided for your child do not contain peanuts or nuts. Additionally, please pack lunches that do not require refrigeration or heating.

Let’s go for an underwater adventure! Our art projects this month will focus on undersea creatures and landscapes. We’ll take a look at Lyndal Osborne’s exhibit in the galleries, draw inspiration from her work to make some amazing coral-themed sculptures, and paint some shiny foil fish!
