Be inspired by art and our waterways. Explore underwater worlds with watercolours and create sculptures of underwater life. Play outdoor games and at Red Deer’s water park. Examine how important water is in our world.

Our current exhibits focus on art and biology. This week participants will look at water and water ecology as inspiration to create art.

Activities this week include..

(ages 6-9) This week for one of our projects will be creating an abstracted painting that looks at the many rich textures and colours of the oceans.

(ages 10-13) Inspired by the work Lyndal Osborne, we will explore and create 3D sculptures of a coral reef. As a bonus activity, we will indulge in the art of chainmail weaving.

Supervised outdoor time is also included, as well as time to explore our galleries and Remarkable Red Deer. Please provide your own lunch & snacks, and bring appropriate outdoor clothing.
