Love for the Land

We’re back for another year of fun Day Camps at the MAG! To kick off 2023, we’ll be doing projects based around the geography of Central Alberta. Our current exhibit, Landmarks: A Sense of Place is filled with landscape art by local artists Wendy Meeres and Carol Lynn Gilchrist, so our young artists will get to see their work, and create some landscapes of their own using a variety of mixed media! We’ll also lean into the 3D arts a little with some Red Deer themed dioramas.

Children will create their own artwork. Supervised outdoor time is also included, as well as time to explore our galleries and Remarkable Red Deer.

Please provide your own lunch & snacks*, and bring appropriate outdoor clothing. *MAG Day Camps are peanut/nut free. Ensure the snacks & lunch provided for your child do not contain peanuts or nuts. Additionally, please pack lunches that do not require refrigeration or heating.
