Join us for a virtual Curator’s talk & tour of the exhibition, Body Language: Reawakening Cultural Tattooing of the Northwest, with Guest Curator and artist, Dion Kaszas.

As well as Guest Curator, Dion is one of the artists featured in the Body Language exhibition. He is a tattoo artist, painter, teacher and scholar of mixed Hungarian, Métis, and Nlaka’pamux (Interior Salish) heritage and has spearheaded the revival of tattooing in the Northwest of North America among his people since 2012.

This talk will stream live via Youtube and Facebook.

UPDATE May 30th – The opening of BODY LANGUAGE has been delayed due to shipping issues. As the exhibition will not arrive in time for the June 2nd opening, the opening reception will move to July 7th. The MAG will still be open late tonight until 8pm for visitors to check out the new additions to Remarkable Red Deer which showcase artifacts from the Buffalo Hotel, and an exhibit about local musician Curtis Labelle on our community wall!

We will unveil new additions to our collection including the taxidermized Buffalo head from the Buffalo Hotel and Curtis Labelle’s performance costume and memorabilia. Check out these treasures from our collection to celebrate our 50th anniversary!
