Marbled Tree Ornaments

Just in time for the holidays, we will be making ornaments using colourful wax!

In celebrating our 50th Anniversary, we’re revisiting some of our favourite MAGSaturday activities from the past. This is the 24th MAGSaturdays activity!

Dancing Trees

Using wire, a wooden base, and stretchy fabric, we’ll make abstract tree sculptures that look like they are dancing! Decorate them however you’d like with acrylic paint.

In celebrating our 50th Anniversary, we’re revisiting some of our favourite MAGSaturday activities from the past. This is the 392nd MAGSaturdays activity!

Islamic Stained Glass

We are celebrating the MAG’s 50th anniversary with a repeat lesson of the very first miniMAG project in 2015! It celebrated Eid Al-Fitr with the creation of a faux stained glass star. Today you will be making a Islamic Faux-stained Glass Window.

Celebrating Red Deer: 50th Anniversary of the MAG

We’ve got all sorts of fun planned for the Red Deer Museum’s 50th Anniversary! Celebrate our history with some of our favourite projects from the Museum’s past, draw some historical buildings, and try your hand at making some art in the style of a well-known local printmaker!

Children will create their own artwork. Supervised outdoor time is also included, as well as time to explore our galleries and Remarkable Red Deer.

Please provide your own lunch & snacks*, and bring appropriate outdoor clothing. *MAG Day Camps are peanut/nut free. Ensure the snacks & lunch provided for your child do not contain peanuts or nuts. Additionally, please pack lunches that do not require refrigeration or heating.
