Art in the sun? Today we’ll have some fun using a smorgasbord of trinkets, plants, and special sun-sensitive paper to create cyanotype prints!

This weeks project will be a fun artistic challenge from any fossil, bone, and dinosaur enthusiasts! We’ll paint some textured, stoney backgrounds then use drawing skills and reference images to construct some beautiful dinosaur skeletons.

A Tessellation, What? with Mike

Participants will be able to learn about and create art based on Tessellations! Say what? A pattern made form certain shapes.

It’s all about the element of value today. Who knew there were so many different types of graphite pencils! Depending on how soft the graphite is and how hard you press on the pencil will decide what kind of marks you make.

If you are looking for a relaxing, meditative project, this is a great week to join us here at the MAG! We will fill in an adorable bunny using repeating patterns, shapes, and lines, then put our bunnies on a colourful scrapbook paper background.

Van Gogh Inspired Still Life with Mike

Bold brush strokes and bright colours – using a vase filled with flowers, we will create a still life painting inspired by van Gogh!
