Join us for a special talk with award-winning photojournalist and filmmaker Louie Palu, whose exhibition Louie Palu: Distant Early Warning is currently on display at the museum.

In this presentation, Louie will be speaking on his experiences as a National Geographic photographer covering social political issues, his motivations and inspiration for his work.

While this program is free to attend, registration is required.

This exhibition of Louie Palu’s photographs that document the vestigial legacies of the Cold War and the increased military presence in the North American Arctic today. Taken as a whole, the series of photographs examines the growing geopolitical tensions and changing life around Inuit communities in one of the planet’s most extreme and challenging places.
