History in the PM

Métis and the McKenzie Brothers

Join us for an evening of Red Deer’s Remarkable history. Each month we will briefly touch on a theme from Red Deer’s past from pre-contact until today. These presentations are enriched with artifacts from our Collection.

The Métis people have played an important role in both the history of Canada and the Red Deer region. They developed their own culture and way of life, and several Métis families played a foundational role in the development of early Red Deer. Join us as we explore the history of these people across Canada and in the Red Deer region.

Pre-register or drop in. For ages 16+.
