Orange Shirt Day at the MAG
The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, also known as Orange Shirt Day, is September 30th. This is a time when people can honour, learn, and work toward a better future while remembering the lives lost and those forever changed because of the Indian residential school system.
Join us at the MAG from 12-4:30 pm for:
- Short films in our studio: A Historic Survival, Phyllis’ Story
- Origami Orange Shirt art activity
- Mini tours in our history exhibit – Red Deer Industrial School
- Snacks and refreshments (thank you to Teresa Cardinal for the Bannock and The Golden Circle for Cookies and Coffee!)
Free to attend; all are welcome.
