Be inspired by art and our environment. Observe gardens and underwater plants through painting and printmaking projects. Playing and collecting nature in Red Deer’s surrounding parks will also be explored.

Our current exhibits focus on art and biology. This week participants will look at plants and bugs as inspiration to create art.

Activities this week include..

(ages 6-9) For one of our projects this week we will be utilizing UV light project and fluorescent paints to paint flowers that show the ways bees see flowers.

(ages 10-13) We will “bee” building marionettes inspired by insects that impact our world. Other projects include using the same materials in different mediums to create various effects.

Supervised outdoor time is also included, as well as time to explore our galleries and Remarkable Red Deer. Please provide your own lunch & snacks, and bring appropriate outdoor clothing.
