About Andrea Hatch

Andrea Tucker-Hatch through her career as an illustrator, curator and art conservator for museums, has developed a broad knowledge of exhibition design and creation for public spaces. This knowledge spans from single item exhibitions to area design and full exhibition spaces. Telling a story 3 dimensionally within a space is a specialty.

Internationally she is known for her award winning 3dimensional framing which includes the design and development of the interior story as well as the 3 dimensional sculpture of the often untraditional design and shaped frame.
After a move to Stettler, Alberta, an opportunity to jump into custom framing came through the acquisition of her shop, Cabinet of Curiosities. She has found the work very satisfying.

“I like the creativity involved in designing bespoke for clients both publicly and privately, it is never the same thing from one day to the next,” said Andrea.

As a consultant to cultural institutions that are charged with preserving and protecting art, Andrea is particularly interested in conservation techniques. One of her favorite aspects of custom framing is coming up with innovative framing designs and materials that allow for creativity and adhere to preservation needs.
