Get into the Groove: Happy 50th Birthday to the MAG
Join us for Family Day as we celebrate 50 years of the Red Deer and District Museum Society with a 1970’s themed Birthday Party!
What do you wish for the MAG for the next 50 years? Write your best wishes on paper candles and add it to our cake mural. Come take a family selfie and participate in our ‘sketch party’ (sketch your favorite artifact on display), dance to 1970’s disco music, and come dressed in your favourite 1970’s fashion.
This family friendly event is free to attend. All are welcome!
Colouring Contest!
Show off your creativity by entering our Family Day Colouring Contest! Download the printable PDF colouring sheet (or pick up a copy at the MAG) and return to the museum by February 20, 2023 to be entered into a draw to win a prize.
All ages are welcome (and encouraged!) to participate.

Colouring Contest Terms & Conditions
The Family Day 2023 Colouring Contest is free to enter and open to all ages. One entry per person. In order to be eligible for the prize draw, participants must list their name, age, and phone number on the back of their completed colouring page. This information will be used to contact prize winners.
The colouring page can be downloaded from the Red Deer Museum + Art Gallery (MAG) website (above) or picked up in person at the museum. Participants must return their completed colouring page to the MAG by 4:00 pm on February 20, 2023 (Family Day).
There are 4 prizes available: 3 for children/youth; 1 for adult. Prize winners will be drawn randomly from all eligible entries and contacted the week of February 20th. Prize winners (or parent/guardian of) must pick up their prize in person at the Red Deer Museum + Art Gallery.
