Creatures of the North

What sort of creatures could we find in the North of this beautiful land? Caribou? Deer? Moose? Today we will be creating lush Northern landscapes using pieces of patterned scrapbook paper cut to resemble the shapes of wildlife.

Wild! Wonderful! Random! Fantastical and nonsensical! DADA was an art movement that emerged in the mid 1910’s pioneered by artists such as the Cabaret Voltaire collective and Marcel Duchamp. Dada enbraces subversion through nonsense. Today, we’ll be making Dada-inspired collages out of magazine cuttings, scrapbook paper, and so much more!

On the first Friday of every month, join the galleries in downtown Red Deer in celebrating local, regional and national artistic talent. The galleries buzz with art experiences, open gallery spaces, social mingling and maybe some entertainment.
